Power Rankings: Week 6 and 5 edition

1. The Prince… Andrew (1) is in pretty good shape. He is in sole possession of 1st place, one game ahead of Alison in Adam West, and on a two game winning streak. He has an intense matchup, rife with playoff implications, against Caitlin this week but gets the 8th place Fightin Fittez after that. Andrew has the league’s best record but has had an easy schedule. He has the 2nd least points against and is 7th in points for. Despite this, Andrew should have no trouble making the playoffs.
2. Down on her Luck Alison (-1) has dropped two games in a row and now only has a one game lead on 3rd and 4th in the Adam West division. Her last loss came at the hands of the resurgent Rasta-Seferians and they, along with Against Jamaal Odds, could knock Alison out of her playoff spot.
3. Two Gregs Enter… Greg K (-1) is on a three game losing streak. He got trounced by GB in the Greg-derdome this week and this was his highest score of the last three weeks. With Le’Veon Bell on a bye this week he could have trouble handling Mikey’s team and could further endanger his championship chances. Greg needs to end this skid if he wants to hold on to his spot.
4. Sibling Rivalry After a loss last week to Andrew, Tim (+1) came back and got a nice victory against his sister. This allowed Tim, Greg B, Brian and Caitlin to get all tied up for the fourth seed. Tim has won five out of his last seven and is in pretty good shape in terms of tie breakers. However, he still has two divison games remaining which will make or break his season. Tim gets the Blithering Beeficorns next week but his last matchup is against Greg B which could have some very serious playoff implications.
5. Kicking Herself Cait (-1) got 8 points from Matt Prater which ended up being more than one QB, one WR, her TE and her Flex put up. Caitlin should maybe stop investing so much money on kickers and focus on the rest of her team if she hopes to breakout of the six and five hive.
6. …One Greg Leaves Like Tim, Greg B (0) has won five out of his last seven. Also, like Tim he is tied for second in Michael Easton and fourth overall. Unlike Tim, he has faced the third toughest schedule in the league (Tim’s was the easiest) and only has one division game remaining (against Tim). The next two weeks will be critical for our favorite phallic physician. He has a great shot at the playoffs and a chance at a repeat for the Prince of Wales.
7. Oh Thank Evans! Brian (0) has won four in a row and is among the contenders for the last wild card. If some asshat hadn’t decided division record was the tie breaker for playoff spots he’d be in great shape. He is tied with Cait, Andrew and Alison in head-to-head and has the most points for in the league. He has also beat both Tim and Greg B so he has the head to head there. The rookie receiver, Mike Evans has been putting up gaudy numbers for the commissioner and should be a big help down the stretch. Antonio Brown has a bye this week for Brian’s matchup against his nemesis, Steve, but Brian has a replacement ready. Josh Gordon, the Stupendous Stoner, is back this week and Brian needs him to be a big contributor to his playoff run.
8. Not the Worst There might be some things to say about Mikey’s (0) team but I can’t think of anything. Mikey has no shot at making the playoffs but has so far managed to stay ahead of Steve and Jimmy. He has a chance to give Kodz some trouble with their matchup this week but will probably not affect Andrew too much in week thirteen. Things could be worse for Mikey, but they could also be much, much better.
9. Bortelston Birdocorns? Jimmy (0) is giving Steve a run for his money. After a 2-2 start, Jimmy has dropped 6 out of his last 7 games. Since week 4 he has had one game where he scored over 150 (his only win). He has only one win more than Mr. Baron, our current Birdo favorite. Jimmy and Steve play each other in week 13, so we get an extra week of Birdo Bowl this year.
10. …And the Pauper Steve (0) is racking up quite a debt to the league. He is tied for the most money owed with Greg B. Greg’s money comes mostly from acquisitions while Steve’s is mainly due to his league leading nine losses. Steve lost (what a surprise!) to Mikey last week but is playing Brian and the Rasta-Seferians this week, one of the two teams he has beaten. Though Steve was eliminated from the playoffs a while ago and is one of the primary contenders for the Birdo, he can at least take some solace if he is able to spoil Brian’s season this week.
