| 1. | (Wife)Beat This | Week 3 continued the early-season trend of solid outings for Greg K (0) who retains the top spot with the only undefeated mark in the league at 3-0. A breakout flex performance from Pierre Garcon nullified an ugly defense-kicker combo that netted Greg just two total points on Sunday. This team’s few holes are fixable and a deep playoff run may be in the cards. |
| 2. | Moving on Up | Alison (+2) rebounded from a lopsided Week 2 loss to improve to 2-1 on the heels of strong quarterback play and continued consistency from DeMarco Murray. With two of the three previously undefeated teams losing this week, Alison has propelled herself into playoff contention in the early going. |
| 3. | Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad | Caitlin (-1) holds on to a tie for first in her division, but the Jamaal Charles injury situation caused serious problems this week for our reigning runner-up. While Julio Jones’ massive Thursday night output couldn’t save her from falling to 2-1, Caitlin’s unit is still in fine shape moving forward. |
| 4. | Oh the Humanity | An easy Week 3 matchup against one of the worst teams in the league turned into a stumbling block for Mikey (-1) when a large Sunday lead evaporated in a Monday night debacle. He looks to get back on track next week against Jimmy with better contributions from his skill players and will have to contend with numerous byes to do so. |
| 5. | Forever Fifth? | Brian (+3) tallied the highest score in the league in Week 3 to pick up his first win of the season and jumped firmly into the middle of the pack with ten weeks left to play. With his lineup boasting five 18+ point outputs on Sunday, Brian may be digging himself out of an early-season hole. |
| 6. | Yo Adrian! (Come Back!) | Timmy (0) put together another strong performance, eclipsing 150 points for the second straight week, but couldn’t quite get the W this time around. While he goes into Week 4 sitting at 1-2, Timmy’s team has some definite upside. |
| 7. | Shady’s 2.2 Pennies | Andrew (-2) sustained his first loss of the season in Week 3 and despite maintaining a winning record, he has scored the second-fewest points in the league so far in 2014. A poor showing from LeSean McCoy coupled with middling numbers from his receivers was Andrew’s downfall against Alison, and he has a big matchup with Greg K looming. |
| 8. | LOOK AT ME | Both the starting lineup and the bench were littered with big scores for Jimmy (+1) as he cruised to a victory this week to avoid a crippling 0-3 mark. Good decision-making going forward will be crucial as Jimmy looks to build a mid-season winning streak. |
| 9. | #WinningIsAllowed? | Greg B (+1) recovered from an unmitigated disaster by the Carolina Panthers defense on Sunday night and lucked into a borderline Monday night miracle to grab a win in a dumpsterfire of a matchup against Mikey in Week 3. Greg’s ball-handlers have had an impossible time finding the endzone to this point in the season, and an unlikely win is all that keeps him out of the basement here. |
| 10. | Dude, Where’s My Win? | Steve (-3) is off to a rough 0-3 start in 2014, but his record may be somewhat deceiving. His 423.9 points scored this season is only the fourth worst in the league, and his bench was nothing short of spectacular in Week 3. Regardless, he’ll have to start finding the win column if he wants to compete for a playoff spot and recapture past glory. |
